Eric Ives
Senior Vice President & General Manager
Eric has been with ECSI since April 2002 and is responsible for the oversight and performance of ECSI. Eric has performed multiple roles within the company, including but not exclusive to information technology, customer service management, and product development. With more than 20 years of experience and extensive knowledge within higher education, he is able to ensure optimal performance across the organization and industry. Eric holds a bachelor’s degree from Westminster College.

Kevin Farmer
Senior Director, Sales & Marketing
Kevin joined ECSI in November 2019. He brings a unique perspective to ECSI when working with teams, clients, and prospects, due to his experience across all industries. He works to ensure smooth relationships and positive sales experiences with ECSI’s clients. Kevin is a graduate of North Carolina State University and has over 15 years of sales management experience. His prior work spans nearly every vertical industry, including higher education, energy, healthcare, government, and financial services.

Lori Carbonara
Senior Director, Product & Program Management
Lori joined the ECSI team in August 2011. She is responsible for planning, managing, and developing ECSI’s products and services to support its customers in the higher education market. She has a wealth of experience in the world of loan servicing, having held various leadership roles in organizations such as Fidelity National Financial, LandAmerica, and TransUnion. She has also been a long-standing supporter and volunteer with the Junior League of Pittsburgh – an organization focused on promoting voluntarism, the potential of women, and improving communities through effective action. She is also an active member of organizations aimed at motivating young adults to participate in community service through southwestern Pennsylvania.

Mike Bowman
Senior Director, Operations
Mike came to ECSI in August 2016. He is responsible for all of the operations at ECSI that relate to service provided to clients, students, and borrowers. This includes the contact center, ECSI's client support group, and all back-office processing and production activities. He is committed to designing positive customer experiences, both by providing the highest level of traditional customer service as well as supreme cutting-edge, best-in-class digital service technology. Mike is a graduate of Duquesne University and has held leadership positions within operations and customer service teams, as well as contact centers for over 20 years.

A.J. Bittman
Director, Implementation & Training
A.J. began working at ECSI in November 2010. He works to assure the highest level of service to ECSI clients, and is also responsible for all training for both internal teams and external clients. He brings to the table a Bachelor of Science degree from Carnegie Mellon University, as well as nearly 20 years in project management experience in the technology and finance markets. In addition to project management, A.J. has a professional background in account management, training, software quality control, and software support services.

Mike Krugle
Vice President, Application Development
Mike joined the team at ECSI in April 2010. He is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all activities related to the analysis, design, development, implementation, and support of the organization’s information systems and software applications. Mike is a graduate of Penn State and has over 35 years of professional experience. He has a proven track record in leading IT departments in the development and implementation of solutions to achieve a competitive advantage. His background includes experience in financial services, government operations, healthcare, retail, and the chemical industry.

Gary Jenkins
Senior Director, ECSI Banking Operations
Gary began working at ECSI in February 2004. He is responsible for the management of all payments collected on behalf of ECSI’s clients, including overseeing daily reconciliations of funds flowing in and out as settlements to ECSI’s clients, as well as assisting clients with inquiries related to ECSI’s accounting and reporting. He has previously worked for CPA firms, community and mortgage banks, an equipment repairs entity, as well as government and nonprofit entities. Gary has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. Francis University, is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs. He is also a board member of the John Schneider Loresch Foundation, a nonprofit that operates a private museum in Pittsburgh.
