Adam McDonald

President TouchNet & ECSI

Adam McDonald is the President of TouchNet & ECSI. Adam has spent his entire career in the software industry and draws from that experience to steer product and process innovation and ensure consistently exceptional customer experience. Prior to becoming president in mid-2018, Adam served as TouchNet’s Vice President and General Manager. Before joining TouchNet & ECSI, Adam held a number of leadership positions at RSA, including Vice President and Global Service Leader. Prior to his tenure at RSA, Adam worked at Archer Technologies and MicroStrategy in leadership roles. Adam is a graduate of Dartmouth College, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in history.

Mike Krugle

Vice President, Application Development

Mike joined the team at ECSI in April 2010. He is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all activities related to the analysis, design, development, implementation, and support of the organization’s information systems and software applications. Mike is a graduate of Penn State and has over 40 years of professional experience.  He has a proven track record in leading IT departments in the development and implementation of solutions to achieve a competitive advantage.  His background includes experience in financial services, government operations, healthcare, retail, and the chemical industry.

Heather Richmond

Vice President, Marketing TouchNet & ECSI

Heather Richmond, Vice President of Marketing at TouchNet, has more than 25 years experience in EdTech specializing in innovative software and services platforms tailored for the business of higher education. Heather is an inspiring change agent that leads with passion and thought leadership that reinforces ECSI’s position as the industry leader in taking a technology-based approach to service and staying at the forefront of emerging regulations. Heather believes in using data to inform problem solving throughout the solution lifecycle process: from conducting research and listening to needs in the market; to developing strategies and designing solutions; all the way to monitoring impact and success. Before joining TouchNet, Heather led the customer success team for an alumni fundraising and engagement technology company. Heather earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration with a marketing emphasis at Missouri Western State University.

Jeff Allen

Vice President of Sales TouchNet & ECSI

In his role, Jeff draws on vast experience with higher education software to help colleges work toward unifying campus commerce and credentials, ensure they have access to advanced technology solutions that help them save money, improve student experience, and stay ahead of the curve. Prior to joining TouchNet & ECSI, Jeff held senior sales roles at companies such as Ncontracts, Saepio Technologies, Perceptive Software and BMC Software. Jeff’s technological acumen and leadership helped companies drive corporate results through process improvements, coordinate resources and partnerships, and grow sales to Continuing Education and K-12 sectors despite tightening budgets. Jeff earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis on management and marketing from Kansas State University.

Lori Carbonara

Senior Director, Product & Program Management

Lori joined the ECSI team in August 2011. She is responsible for the day-to-day management of the ECSI product lines as well as planning and developing ECSI’s products and services to support its customers in the higher education market. She has a wealth of experience in the world of loan servicing, having held various leadership roles in organizations such as Fidelity National Financial, LandAmerica, and TransUnion. She has been a long-standing supporter and volunteer with the Junior League of Pittsburgh – an organization focused on promoting voluntarism, the potential of women, and improving communities through effective action. She has also become a mentor with Girlfriends of Pinellas County, an organization designed to provide academic support and mentorship to young ladies.

A.J. Bittman

Senior Director, Implementation, Client Support, and QA

A.J. began working at ECSI in November 2010. He works with the Client Support and Implementation teams to guarantee each ECSI client the best client experience possible.  Improving the client experience also drives the work of the Process Quality Assurance team, for which A.J. is also responsible. He brings to the table a Bachelor of Science degree from Carnegie Mellon University, as well as nearly 30 years of project management experience in the technology and finance markets. In addition to project management, A.J. has a professional background in account management, training, software quality control, and software support services.

Edsel Lu

Director, Enterprise Architecture and Software Engineering

Edsel joined the ECSI team in May 2017. He currently holds the position of guiding the company's technical direction, overseeing the software architecture, design, development, and operations of the company's products and solutions. Edsel brings a strong educational background to his role and has earned a Computer Engineering degree from the Univerisity of Pittsburgh. With over 20 years of industry experience, he deeply understands the software development life cycle and has successfully led numerous projects from conception to completion. Before joining ECSI, Edsel held prominent positions in various industries, including consulting, retail, financial services, and the pharmaceutical sector. This diverse background has equipped him with a broad perspective and a versatile skill set that he leverages to drive innovation and efficiency within ECSI.

Scott Kistner

Director of Servicing Operations & Facilities

Scott joined ECSI in April 2016 with over 20 years in operations management in the real estate and finance industry. Scott manages the operation teams responsible for incoming student contact and document processing. Additionally, Scott is responsible for the training provided to internal employees and educating clients on the use of ECSI's systems. In addition to operations management, Scott's background extends to employee training, operations process improvement, quality, and review, new product development, and complaint/claims management.
